Welcome to Deadwood Station Bunkhouse & Gambling Hall

Deadwood Station Bunkhouse & Gambling Hall offers travelers a straightforward and welcoming experience nestled in the heart of Deadwood, South Dakota. With a solid 4.2 rating, this establishment combines the rustic charm of its location at 68 Main St with the practical conveniences modern guests expect. It caters well to budget-conscious visitors, boasting clean, cozy rooms equipped with efficient heating and free Wi-Fi, all for under $50 a night—an impressive value in this historic town.

The atmosphere is quiet and warm, ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat after exploring local attractions like the Adams Museum and the Broken Boot Gold Mine just a short drive away. The hotel's pet-friendly policy and free parking enhance its appeal for road trippers and families alike. While amenities are modest—no pool, restaurant, or fitness center—the focus remains on comfort and simplicity.

The gambling hall features a selection of gaming machines, adding a dash of excitement without overwhelming the laid-back vibe. Some guests have noted that the casino is limited to machines, with no table games available. Service interactions are generally positive, though a few have cited occasional lapses in friendliness, which could benefit from attention.

Though the hotel lacks a restaurant, it compensates with a complimentary continental breakfast, providing a convenient start to the day. A minor downside noted by some is the quality of the provided soap, which may feel less than ideal, yet this is a small quibble in an otherwise satisfactory stay.

Overall, Deadwood Station Bunkhouse & Gambling Hall shines as a practical, clean, and inviting base for those eager to explore the Black Hills region without paying a premium. Its blend of affordability, location, and straightforward hospitality captures the essence of Deadwood’s historic and relaxed spirit.

It was very simple as the other posts read. It was quiet and warm. Clean. Hand and body soap was really bad. As a soap bar it didn't want to even snap in half or get soft under warm water. It weirded me out. The casino is solely machines. And my ex didn't like the bartender apparently was treated rude. Fair for its price

For the price this hotel was good. Clean rooms, bed was good. Friendly staff, good service. Heater in room warmed up quickly Would recommend and would stay there again. Nice place for less than $50. Left early so didn't have a chance to check out complimentary continental breakfast
